Aikido of Austin follows a traditional Japanese dojo tradition by offering membership for dues, rather than fees for instruction. When new students join the dojo, they are becoming members of the Aikido of Austin community. Members keep the dojo by offering both financial support and labor. In so doing, we honor our heritage, keep costs low, and learn through the services we give to our community.
Anyone is welcome to observe any class session at Aikido of Austin. No previous martial arts training is required to get started. Interested parties will have an opportunity to speak with a dojo member, to answer questions and pick up an application. You may also contact us directly, but we do recommend that you come out to our dojo. Observing a class is the best way to learn about Aikido, and to meet the Aikido of Austin community.
